Draw a map of the home, show all doors and windows.
Show clear and all escape routes.
Visit each room.
Make sure your smoke alarms are in working order.
Choose a meeting spot.
Talk about the plan every so often so everyone is constantly up to date.
Go over emergency contacts with the household.
Most importantly, practice your escape route.

These simple yet life saving tips helps during a time where every second counts. These plans help with the panic that may set during this unfortunate time and allow everyone to know, where they are supposed to go, how, and allow everyone to meet at the same location.
