Freezing temps

3/31/2020 (Permalink)

April is here, which means spring is here. The change of the seasons brings up warming temperatures along with melting snow and budding of the trees. During this time it is easy for everyone to forget about the threat from frozen pipes. Early April and late March tend to be warm during the day but can dip below freezing at night. This is were the frozen pipes come up again, as homeowners tend to turn their heat down lower and may even start removing needed weather stripping putting their home at risk.

A few things to help prevent frozen pipes are the same as always, and should be applied during early spring to be safe. Keep heat a little higher at night especially if the temps could dip below that freezing mark. Make sure all windows and doors are air tight and weather proofed if necessary.

As always if a frozen pipe does occur please give us a call and we'll be out to assist anytime.
